Layers

Layers

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal

Belief unshakeable once,
Is melting now, rowing down and down,
Making me hollow,
Opening the layers of realness,
Shading out the crust,
Showing the vertical and horizontal coloumns,
Years, I took it love, I laugh,
It is nothing more than laziness of skin,
A thought tired than tiredness itself,
You, my mighty god, are not the sea,
Where I want to merge the river of my soul,
You are stagnant like a dry pond,
Sucking me more and more, to fill thyself
You do not want to loose me, I too not,
You, as you want to gain me,
My cause is to polish myself,
Making a habit of each other,
I only want to open one layer to know,
Are we contradictory or we complimentary.

Not a bad shot. Kinda intriguing to be read. Your poetry sounds like talking of the analogies of life which I find quite realistic to read in words. However, it reminds me: "Time moves on so does life." Very generous poetry. With time, we all get old but what's left behind is nothing but the emptiness - the contradictory of life undisguised with the implications of complimentary. Nice flow of ink. Liked the way you convey your thoughts in words.

It is terrible to take off layer after layer and find hollowness. Perhaps we are complete only anohter's layer...

Thankyou so much for a kind review :)
I enjoyed the poem. I liked how you used layers. Layers are more important than we shall know. Few people can go below the top layer of most people.
"I only want to open one layer to know,
Are we contradictory or we complimentary."
Above lines are true. Take small steps to understand someone. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You're welcome.
Nicely done Hardeep, very thought provoking. Our soul is truely covered in infinite layers, and as we progress in life we find out more about ourselves. Everytime we are put to a different test, a new image of our nature comes out. I think this is what we call life, to know your true self.
Thank you so much for sharing this excellent piece...:)
