The Downward Spiral

The Downward Spiral

A Poem by Phantasmagoric Perceptions
"

Spiralling downward into a blaze of defeated glory

"

How could I ever love again,

If you were to walk away?

You would break me beyond repair,

And leaving me seeing in shades of grey.

With every step you took

The world would dim with every fall

Becoming a hazy ball of hate

Until there was nothing left at all

You would take the sun

And crush it in your hands

Leaving no light in my lonely world

Only regrets and broken plans

How could I ever breathe again,

If you were to go?
You are everything I need,

You make this world beautiful

With every fading shade

The Earth slowly dies

And as the life begins to fade

So, painfully, do I
