Life in Fast-Foward

Life in Fast-Foward

A Poem by Phantasmagoric Perceptions
"

I've skipped through all the good parts.

"

I can hear the gears are grinding-

It's such a lovely sound

The lovely music of my brain

Rapidly winding down

I'm pressing fast foward

To go through stories untold

Yet trying to rewind reality

Because the tape's unrolled

I tried to pass through unnoticed

Unseen by those remaining

I tried to erase my scars and marks

But they always ended up staining

Alas, I stepped in the trap

And it sank its teeth into my heart

So the animal surrounded me

And commenced ripping me apart

I lived life in fast-foward

But in the end it all caught me

For when you skip through all it's wonders,

What an animal life can be...
