I Wait...

I Wait...

A Poem by Khaaki

I wait

For my sun to rise,

For my clouds to vamoose,

So that I can feel alive again…

I wait

For time to untangle,

The twisted lines of fate,

Scrawled all over my hands

I wait

For the dawn,

For the night to pass,

An end to my nightmares…

I wait

Doors closed,

Windows open,

My heart is half ajar…

. so much magic here ... i wait too ... i wait for it to end ... for light to come my way ... for a solution ... to live and not just survive ... and your words inspire me as they fill me with hope ... patience is everything sometimes ... we need it as much as resilience ...

What a way to say you're waiting. Such lovely and haunting visions your words inspire.

Aren't we all waiting for a change?
This is one exquisite piece of writing, very well done indeed!

There is such a powerful sense of confidence displayed here through your words... even in the darkness you long for the light to come. Sometimes it's too easy to let go and give in to the pain...

I like the font you picked, it suits the poem, I can relate to this, it expresses some common feelings neatly, the longing for a better tomorrow, great write.
