Color of God

Color of God

A Poem by harlem_knight

What is God’s hue
Is it a soulful blue
Encompassing the hope in all the prayers sent up
Or is it a vibrant yellow with a ferocious intensity to light the darkest of souls
God only knows but i like to think it’s a cotton candy pink.
Fluffy and weightless as a spaceship on the brink of heavens gates
Is it a liberating green free of enslavement or is it the sort of orange that shows obedience.
A potent red like the hearts that bleed for salvation or white with indifference. If we saw it would we recognize the difference.
My God what color are You?
Black is beautiful and you created beauty so the polished oil I envision seems fitting for You.
Or is the covenant between Adam and land a direct representation of where you stand.
Is a rainbow eye contact in its purest form and if so y do you say we are worthy of seeing. Especially when we struggle believing.
Especially when we fit in among heathens and forget to thank you for the very air we breathe in
My God why are we chosen?
Are the purple sky’s a sign?
Or….sadly enough….are we all just color blind?
