Sliding oceans

Sliding oceans

A Poem by Travis Lawrence
"

Jealousy

"

Shores split resting states under sliding oceans

made in time’s hand throwing motives forward

for repetition of appearances and vivid dreams.

Jealousy eyes my turn right to hide from sore pains

pressed pressure firmly on blood flow and heart pace

fallen to storm in anxious centers of sweltered ire.

Touching absent ivy skin sensed with fit purpose

as her silky ghost sweeps and sways those moments

frail from hopeful pasts down ambitious fates.

No roads flow north in slants but down past paths

slowly cleared to murky grey dust off black eyes

silent as presence is brief, but not exact.
