What sense our souls make

What sense our souls make

A Poem by Travis Lawrence

I have this feeling that I’m even further outside of the old paradigm now, seeing how some of my really good friends as outsiders to my new point of view. I could feel a connection to divinity when I closed my eyes and chanted. What should I do now? Which path to take? Should I give up every single part of the old and delve into this exciting territory? Or should I try to incorporate my life into the old. Would they even take me seriously? I know exactly what to do. I should keep my spirit connected to that divinity through meditation, yoga, and music. As long as I have that kindred connection with the earth, nothing can truly harm my spirit.

What sense our souls make

I see spirits in light bent through water

gleaming from divine ways into angles

measured by what sense our souls make

deep to rock bottoms during dim day ends.

Hums and ahs tune us in to higher vibrations

wisely known only in self silent thoughts

connected angels supplying power to choose joy

not waning in sorrow wakes like pity.

Flow with presence. Sense no time.

Heal like harmony sings pleased

no harm will come to those that touch

the one sewn spirit with colored thread.

This is fantastic.
I really like the part:
"Flow with presence. Sense no time.
Heal like harmony sings pleased
no harm will come to those that touch
the one sewn spirit with colored thread"
... Sense no time... that's such a profound statement.
It's like trying to feel no self. Trying to let go of little pieces of reality, bits at a time.
Just let go of the insignificant pieces and feel true peace.
I love the message in this piece.
Truly wonderful.
