Blue Fog

Blue Fog

A Poem by Travis Lawrence

Serene and softly music waves

touch gentle shorelines.

Swished back blue waters

shyly rustle sandy beaches.

Grains meet a slept ocean

delved into darker deepness.

Underneath night lost swayed light dives

to eyes losing sight in blue fog.

Scenes of presence sense

time pushing quicker.

No rising attempt returns

sorely tired and tried.

None try to rise into sky

in struggles to cover pasts.

High red tides catch smoke rings

blown with still lips in windless motion.

West sets down golden in spreading suns

every night I sink into sand and sullen songs.
