Mother, Mother

Mother, Mother

A Poem by Hollywood

Mother, Mother,

why do you act like you don't want me?

You have acted this way

since the day

you claim my father forced himself

upon you.

Mother, Mother,

why do you favor you're other children more?

You have acted this way

since the day

you had other daughters

with fairer hair.

Mother, Mother,

why don't you like me?

You have acted this way

since the day

I made your life a living hell.

Aren't you suppose to forgive?

Wow. I enjoyed this. I can feel the bitter perceptions from the first stanzas, and the pain that she's obviously caused to you. I personally can relate. However, I feel as though you're a talented writer, but you go for the obvious words, phrases, and such. For example, "mother mother, why don't you like me? You have acted this way since the day I made your life a living hell"
I enjoyed this stanza, but I feel as though you could make it more abstract, if you really wanted to. Push yourself for your best work!

I completely feel the exact same way! It is sad to know that someone has the same problem, and that their not sure what to do about it! NICE

this poem is so strong, but shows so much weakness. it brought tears to my eyes, to think about all the kids that feel this way or have neglectful mothers is just heartbreaking, you did an amazing job portraying it. great write :)
