I Just Really Like Winter

all seasons are capable of breathtaking beauty

so please don’t take this the wrong way

but

winter is definitely the most lovely

of them all

just to clarify

i don’t mean winter in places like florida

i mean winter

as in the stereotypical snow-powdered pristine kind

people say winter is representative of death

and i don’t dispute that

but it is also a representation of sleep

maybe that’s why

we call it a “blanket of snow”

snow and ice

are muffling

calming

while hard and cold
