Mediocrity

Mediocrity

A Poem by heido

You slept behind my back

A safe distance from my heart

                       I tried to reconjure,

From the time we've spent apart

I don't mean to be mediocre

To watch your break away

I can't quite understand

The rhyming of this day

I'll try to be who I was

Walk swiftly through my past

I'm looking for the sunshine

Your heart couldn't cause to last

I hardly ever rhyme.. This one seemed to take a life of it's own.
