Him

Him

A Poem by heido

We live lifetimes in days

A cycle of love, fight, learn, love

Sleep with me now dear one

I am waiting

Love me dear one

I am writhing

Tell me again how to do this right

Guide me words and my hands

Make sure I'm not too abrasive

Make virtues of my sins

Teach me of honesty

Of love

I enjoyed this. The simplicity at first is odd for me, since I've been spending most of my time reading difficult metaphysical poetry for my literature classes, but on second reading I found I really enjoyed this. You've abstracted an experience common to men and women and shown how sex can be an act of honesty. All is revealed when lover stands naked with lover.

Dear poetess, you speak of an affection so devoted.

To live wih a heart so surrendered to someone must be very scary, and yet, so enrapturing.

I know this feeling well.
I simply define it, as love.

Beautiful.
