Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by Scott Troy

Brittle
Lament washed with
Stubborn ego
Failures
Black and tinged
A rustic landscape
Hollow memories
Turbid realities
A tongue
Beset by venom
A time I thought
Was behind me
Repress
Build the bridge
Ever higher
Thick with resentment
Placid platitudes
Adrift
Latent
A karmic wheel
With rough edges
A pledge of indifference
