The Wind and the Lovers

The Wind and the Lovers

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

The wind speaks

In a smooth, chilling voice.

It whispers plots in the ears of your mind,

it caresses your skin like

the hands of your first true love,

I can feel the chill in the autumn air,

I can see your hand in the crevices of mine,

I can imagine what its like to feel

the presence of the one

they call the divine.

So Im dousing my fire with gasoline,

Im burning my memories to the ground.

I dont wish to feel your light,

I dont want to see your life.

My eyes are tears,

theyve turned blood red,

vampires would be jealous,

at all the blood I will shed.

Water is a torrent down my flesh,

kissing every curve I bear,

It washes away the years of regret,

and all I have to share.

My knowledge is boundless,

and my love is bountiful,

but cross me twice,

my pretty maid,

and your name will be lost on my list.

wow, serious scope of darkness and consistancy brings your words to a level that effects the reader
in ways that overcome the mind with artful passionate prose. I havent read classic work like this
in a very long time, keep it up
