Eulogy

Eulogy

A Poem by Daniele

E'er I hear the sounds of silence from
The waving hands
The rasping voice
When I see words duly wrung
From silent voice
Not by own choice
Heaven lends your voice to me

You and I had traversed shores
And distant lands
Where silence knows
First of all, of me a part
I had a heart
But could not know
Then heaven sends your heart to me

So much I knew, so little we shared
My silent hands
Your silent lips
Your lips today speak of no cares
Yet my hands still
Remain hands mute
And heaven brings you, again, to me
