dull

A Poem by hershey's kiss

I'm sitting here willing words to come.

Willing sleep to come.

Words vs. sleep.

Coherency vs. unconsciousness

anything but this blank mindlessness

it's here I sink into my past. I dwell on everything that was; everything that troubled me troubles me again

I want to be rid of this.

I'm done. I don't know what else to do. I don't want to quit from hopelessness, never, nor from bitterly giving up.

I'm running around in circles and they're winding tighter each time around.

I'm sitting here willing words to come.

Willing silence to come.

Willing closure to come.

Looks like sleep deprivation can bring out some stunning words! I really enjoyed reading this. It was simple but so relatable. The worst things can keep us up at night, and even though we want to be rid of them and forget them in our dreams, we can't. Exhaustion gives people the unforgiving chance to look back on their day and pick everything apart. Great job.
