Oblivion

Oblivion

A Poem by Hidden Agenda

I cling onto that glimpse of hope.

The shimmer of happiness, the laughter we once shared,

But it’s gone.

I try and try to bring it back,

But it’s gone.

It didn't disappear overnight though,

It took days upon months,

Months upon years,

Yet I was oblivious...

I never once took a moment to think about tomorrow,

To think about the future.

It’s only now I realize

as I have nothing to live on but the past.
