Forcasting Rain...........................

Forcasting Rain...........................

A Poem by Muse

Hold my umbrella, keep
their words off my head
protect me
from this
cold
hard
acidic rain
as the ridicule falls
it drowns me
with arthritic pain.

Can I stand behind you
to hide my face
I cannot show them my light
they might blow it out
making my day
a darker night.

Speak for me please
my mouth cannot open
but I hear their whispers
every word
seams to shrink me smaller
pull me back up
I need your help
to stand a little taller.

This is an extraordinary write, very deep and personal...someplace in time I think we've all visited at one time or another. We become numb to if we're lucky, then there are those currents of despair that rain upon our soul so wounding. Captivating read.

Everybody needs a little help sometimes... it is nice to see your vulnerable side. You are human after all. Seriously though it is a wonderful poem. Very heartfelt.

I saw this pop up on the newsfeed and couldn't remember reviewing it. Read it again and it was just as stunning as the first time. Still, simply wonderful

I love walking in the rain, because no one sees, I am actually crying~ This is such a ode to the rain, and written out a poetic heart, who actually embrace all kind of nature aspects. Raw, dark, but true, the last is the most important. Rain, speak for this goddes, as she wrapped this poem into silent bliss~

I like poems with pictures, although I like to read poems without it. I would read poems all night... they talk to me...like yours just did. But I have to say it first that this picture called my attention... so fragile, and so strong at the same time.
So many times we keep this "umbrella" trying to keep the words off our heads...
((((hugs))))

In all honesty I was drawin to this by the picture. It is wonderful. Simply wonderful. But then comes the poem... It grabs you by the nadgers and gives a damn tight squeeze. Then the picture and the poem come together as a single entity. A plantive plea that cannot be forgotten, cannot be ignored and burns with a slow intensity until the last two lines, when the reader is offered some degree of hope. A powerful poem. Formed as carefully as a living cell and as equally beautiful and perfect. Sheer perfection to read, and burnt into the soul.

Your writing really amazes me. It's so great!
Anyways, the narrator of this poem sounds like they're in need of help and that there's someone there who could really help them out - like a best friend, sibling, or adult/parent. It had a kind of depressing tone to me with a little hope. It made me think about the people I have. Maybe what I'm saying doesn't have anything to do with what you were thinking when you wrote this, but I guess that's just how I got it.
Anywho. I'm sort of ranting. Well, good job! I loved this. :3
