Life through the eyes of a child

Life through the eyes of a child

A Poem by Call Me Blu

Through the eyes of a child everything is black and white

Everything is in its pure form

Some days if I try hard enough

I can see the world as a child

But my skills are dwindling

Children look at someone crying

And recognize pain

Anger

Saddness

The look upon smiles as happy

Joyful

Excited

Through the eyes of a child life stretches on forever

Is it anyones right to take that away?

Wow!! This is such a strong poem.
I know what you mean though! When I think back on my thoughts as a kid I felt the same way. I didn't see the world for it's reality. (Anger, sadness, everything you say in that poem). I saw it as some fluff world or something!
But yeah when I got older. Reality check time! I woke up and realized what the world really was. Not sure if I liked it...
Oh well, great poem! I love the last two lines especially :)

In the words of my 6 year old grandaughter "adults just complicate things". Great sentiment, great write. And in answer to your question a resounding NO! Love this poem :)
