Tea for one

Tea for one

A Poem by hjcm

The kettle boils.

Remember when we were all kids

and we’d have adventures in the sand

and build indescribable things with Lego

and sculpt mashed potato mountains?

I want to do those things with you.

I tear the tea bag pair apart

and put one into one cup

and the other back in the box.

I worry when you don’t pick up. And I

can’t recall when your seminars are.

Maybe you’re asleep.
