Walking Out Of The Darkness

Walking Out Of The Darkness

A Poem by Hobbit

I once lived in the Darkness,

Ever sad,

Ever bad,

Ever mad.

Sometimes I would see a Light,

And yet I would let it pass me by,

With an excuse,

And a sigh.

Then I found the real Light,

Happy was I beyond belief,

Always smiling,

Ever laughing.

But the Darkness tried to pull me back,

Never wanting to let me go.

I had to walk out of the darkness on my own,

With a song,

With a prayer,

With a promise.

With help and courage,

And some guidence too,

I walked out of the Darkness,

Ever leaving it behind.
