Blue Waves

Blue Waves

A Poem by David

Sunrise, deprivation

The light of tribulation

Epiphany of you

Melancholy songs to hear

to get me through

Sundown, the sensation

The way of this new nation

Serenity for you

Desperation is my way

to get me through

On my way

to the ocean

Sailing far away

The waves

to wave goodbye

Midnight celebration

The sound of excavation

Picture of me for you

Epic stories spoke to me

to make it through

On my way

to the shore

I am coming home

The sand

to send me there

calling to see the way

The ages

I've been gone for too long

But,

I've been home for so long

I built it up

in the center

for my life

through many winters

It's still there

I'll take you there

Sunrise, the duration

The light of tribulation

I can see now it's you

Melancholy songs to hear

to get me through
