Two Strangers Dance to Heartache

Two Strangers Dance to Heartache

A Poem by hollydolly

Chance meeting in a place of decay,

the last pin of normalcy before it unravels.

Long looks of wonder glide between the lace of doubt.

Mirroring heartache reveals invisable cracks.

Unknowing leads to dark,

making the dance unforgable,

this chance uneasy to move.

Splashes of color show through tired eyes, but this light will leave too much bare.

Moving to the frightened  beat of a heart too charred for entertaining.

chronograph a story never told;

dodging a spark in fear of a far too flamable soul.

Continued forces play a past of unshakable folly.

This moment returns a lifetime,

Never reaching for the lasting because the lasting never stays.

Turn your wounded shell away

move forward to change the lines scripted,

regret fades.

the lonly shutter in the same style, without knowing the steps.

No tale will ever be told here, only missed marks and broken thoughts

briefly mark the seconds as the broken dance around eachother to the static of the past.
