My Mother

My Mother

A Poem by Holly Nichole
"

A poem I wrote one day when my mom was heavy on my mind.

"

I've always loved you,

As long as I've known how,

Starting from my birth,

To where we are now.

I've always needed you,

As a baby, and full grown,

No matter what the issue,

Your arms felt like home.

I've always been proud,

To call you my mother,

We've had our problems,

And so have all the others.

But for you, I am thankful,

You put me on this earth,

You're special to me, yet I know,

You still don't see your worth.

My love for you,

Is nothing less than strong,

Continuous & unconditional,

Perservering all along.

Our road has not been easy,

But you'll always be my mother,

In the good times & the bad,

I wouldn't want any other.

poignant, touching tribute. I wrote an 'ugly truth' poem about my mother that is hard even for me to read. All the issues in strong wording. You may not like that one hehe. Nice piece here Holly
