Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by HoneeBunni

Everyone remembers their mothers holding them tight,

Rocking back and forth, singing a lullaby.

The beautiful eyes looking back at you

Through the thick darkness of the night.

Its not as simple as it seems.

She was teaching you the art of dreams.

When your eye lids shut with an unheard thud,

The sleep takes over letting your body to recover.

Good dreams. Worst nightmares.

They are all the same. Lessons.

A dream is more than an illusion

Of your own imagination.

Its a chance to get away with

An unforgettable mistake.

A world you make your own.

Nothing more and

Nothing less than

What you dream it to be.

Wonderfully done. "Its a chance to get away with...An unforgettable mistake." Those lines really stood out. A simple three stanza poem with a nice flow. Love it.
