How to be Normal

How to be Normal

A Poem by Lauren
"

When you smile, be sure it reaches your eyes

"

When you smile,

be sure it reaches

your eyes, and

talk about

cute boys.

Get good grades

but don’t enjoy school and

spend your money on clothes but

but don’t let people know

that you cry

just to get it out.

Don’t let them be aware

of your intense

anger that is alwas there.

A monster

waiting for someone

to be its victim.

Be sure to

choose one:

sporty

or feminine

or both.

Not neither.

It’s easy to be normal

if you want to lie

every

single

day.

Wow! Your poem could have been written about me and my former high school. (Impossible to artsy and popular.) Well written! Seriously struck a cord with me!
