Poet

Poet

A Poem by Courtney Hough

Poet, don't keep silent

You've a message to convey

Words of life that must be spoken

Words your God wants you to say

It's a gift that you've been given

Now you'll never be the same

Seek the Spirit's great anointing

You've a gift, now fan the flame

Poet, don't keep silent

You must let your voice be heard

Let it all be for His glory

Every line and every word

There are those who live in sorrow

Condemnation and in strife

Poet, don't keep silent

Let your words be words of life

Let them echo every promise

Every truth found in His Word

Let the seeds of life be planted

Where your rhyming lines are heard

Don't seek fame and don't seek glory

Seek to magnify your Lord

For indeed He's coming quickly

Poet that is your reward.

You're quite welcome
courtney hough,

Only a poet can have the authority to do seek the inner pastures of writing. O f course there may be trespassing. The way and and volume of such a search shall have the seed of truth inside it, if done by the authorised as above. I recommend the fate of a star for poet for his selection. Is it a gift? I mean it a curse. The issue of His visibility.................I see only a mirror image. Poet has created GODS, whatelse.

excellent ATTEMPT of autobiograpgical in nature......

carry on............

Wonderful final stanza as a summary to the nicely written and rhymed body of the poem. Fantastic.

As a writer you have the ability to connect with people. Teach people. Impact people. You can influence them in so many ways. You can make them smile, cry, laugh, etc. People have voices and they shouldn't be silences, by others or the person themselves. Through reading and writing I've found myself gaining knowledge of the world, others, and my own self.I've discovered things I never knew before and it's made me a better person.

Words of encouragement for anyone who may feel a bit astray or just lacking in the way of enthusiasm with writing. A very good write, and an even bigger pleasure reading. :)

Lovely rhyme scheme! Not a religious person, but I can relate somewhat as I am a poet myself. Wonderfully written. Much better than anything I could have written. Honest and most sincerely! :)

Written like a poet. We are all here to express ourselves because we have been given the desire which is a blessing.
