What's Mine Is Yours

What's Mine Is Yours

A Poem by Lexi Nicole
"

His departure was my end, too.

"

“What’s mine is yours.”
He whispered to me softly
As if he was handing me a secret
To hold close to my heart
He opened all the doors and windows to his mind
And as I watched him wander down the halls
I could hardly believe
He was mine.

He laid me down on the white sheets
And kissed me gently, all too sweet
And he slipped tongue into my mouth
Passing his deepest secrets, his wants and needs, to me
Desire seeped from all his pores
I wrapped my arms around him
And felt his hands slide down my back.

Each morning I long for his tender devotion
But I realize it’s just a lovesick notion
For my love has come to pass
And I’ve found that I have no hope to last
“What’s mine is yours.”
His words were far too true
For his departure was my end, too.
