So Much For Second Chances

So Much For Second Chances

A Poem by Lexi Nicole
"

I'm never good enough for you.

"

Oceans made of roses’ petals
And fires made of leaves
Nothing ever stops the thorns
From coming close to me

I try to hide within the trees
But am clawed by their branches
Betrayed by the comfort of my forest
So much for second chances

I swam a thousand miles
Just to get close to you
But to my dismay I was turned away
I’m never good enough for you

I turned around and went back down
A path that burned my feet
Haunted by your radiant light
Salvation I’ll never meet.

Cute, very cute, I know it's supposed to be sad but the rhythm I get from it is all...I dun know, just cute XD By the way, you have a typo in the last stanza, second line ^^
