Snow

Snow

A Poem by hrhcamila
"

Poem about love and the loss of it with its return.

"
I somehow forgot
As the pieces fell to the ground
Who I carried in my hands
I slowly deployed
A state of being long forgotten
Shriveled like a tree
Tall and lanky
Bare and cold
Standing right there in front of me
I somehow forgot
As the pieces fell to the ground
Who I carried in my hands
I needed to touch you
Hold you closer than you planned
Needed you somehow in this
Space inside of me
Where they hold the void of
My life
I somehow forgot
As the pieces fell to the ground
Who I carried in my hands
I needed to feel you
Sweaty knitted coverage of linked
Together bonds and ties that only
Time could reach through in me
I called out your name one last time
Across the places where
This memory haunted me in a place
Where I am no longer free
I want to hold you closer than you to me
I needed to feel you
Deep inside my soul
Throbbing pulsating twisting
You roll
Until the anger in the angel
Falls down
Like the quiet glistening of shattered
Fragmented gold
Snow
I somehow forgot
As the pieces fell to the ground
Who I carried in my heart
My hands will no longer
Open up as the dust falls
Powdery shimmer white
I cling onto the last bits of tonight
Crying screaming for one bit of light
Snow.
I loved you then
As I love you now but knowing
Isn't always the time equivalent of growing
I forgot somehow
All that I know now
is
Snow.
