nervous.

nervous.

A Poem by Boyd Johnson

I must say

im sorry

for all he bailing

the failing

the lying

and all the forced

tears.

ive been a bit nervous

these days

these years

ive been a bit

of a shut in

going out

and closing up shop

in my heart

in my head

youre all trying to get something out of me

makes it easier

you see

to ignore

to abhor

to put on a smile and walk out the door.

when you think you know

whats what

and the people you call friend

are laid into

your suspicious plan

I must apologize

ive been a bit nervous

these days.

and please don’t call here again.

I only keep this phone for emergencies anymore.
