Psalm 85

Psalm 85

A Poem by Boyd Johnson

we’re waiting to see

who’s going to f**k up

first.

who’s going

to give

who

the go ahead.

thinkin bout the dark days,

and basking

in their shine,

i miss them.

for all my complaining

all my posturing,

(im sensitive. didn’t you know?)

i miss the dark days.

go ahead,

i’ll wait,

for you,

to absolve me.

whatever and ever,

amen.

i loved the form of this poem, the way it flows so easily without trying.
i especially liked the imagery and the parody at the end. great work!
