Reconsturction

Reconsturction

A Poem by Christopher Dillon Greenway
"

I am using personification to describe the reconstruction era after the civil war. I'm trying to show it from what I think uncle sam's perspective would be. Enjoy the pantoum

Reconstruction

The Pieces are scatter,

as these little ones fight over how to clean up!

Oh presidential, oh congressional, where did I go wrong?

Now I sit in my rocker, your old uncle Sam, is full of despair!

As these little one fight over how to clean up!

Oh presidential your warm, gentle, and com , congressional your harsh, and bold.

Now I sit in my rocker, your old uncle Sam, is full of despair!

Your destroying more than healing!

Oh presidential your warm, gentle, and clam, congressional your harsh and bold.

Oh presidential, oh congressional where did I go wrong?

Pointing fingers at each other, bickering infants

The pieces scatter
