Pursuing Heaven

will the brilliance of her existence,
far eclipsing the envious sun,
bring about real repentence
in this heart that knows but to run?

shall preaching purify polluted ears
that are defiant to the words of the world?
the promised land and his fears,
could he reach eden with ears unfurled?
