Aftermath

Aftermath

A Poem by hypochondrita
"

.

"

I meant to tell you before

when we first locked eyes

that black dress you wore

would haunt my every night

saw you today

could tell it was a dream

made you stay

so it couldn’t be as it seemed

back when we were a “we”

the numb sensation I felt

on my left arm when I held

you close to me

woke me up constantly

now it remains as a ghost

right when i miss you the most

it tingles soundly.
