Fear

I've always been afraid
Afraid I wouldn't be strong enough
to face my past
to stop everything that was wrong
to finally see what I deserved
to go for it
to never look back
to give it my all
   
I've always been afraid to fall
To fall in love
to give love a chance
to find that special person
who makes me feel human
and like I'm worth something
to be someones one and only

 

I've always been afraid to try
To go for what is good
to reach for the stars
to go past the stars
to go for something bigger
to go for my dreams
and to never let anyone hold me back

 

Fear has always been there
Whether I wanted it there or not
it's always there
I seem fearless
yet the fears are always breathing down my neck
I want to leave the fear behind
