One last wave

Just a little something I wrote when tired.

Together we lay, floating in the water.

It filled my mouth, flowing in my throat peacefully.

The calm lake was surrounded by a forest, no one knew where we were.

Our hands strung together loosely, being unsown by the water.

Cushioned by the still surface we were sung to, a lullaby of our quiet breathing.

Melancholy rippled on the water, a serene whisper.

The silent forest was drowning us, slowly consuming our minds.

 The stars waltzed across the raven sky, coaxing us to sleep.

My head submerged and so did yours, eternal placidity was insured.

The water engulfed my last tear; we would never be found.

A pretty tragedy is enticing to us sad poets. This poem is lovely and graceful yet when one stands back from it a bit one can perceive the deep sadness that would make death seem like the best option for peace and happiness.

This well written piece puts pretty flowers on a dark scene that hides secrets.

and the waters, its all an image of celestial ponder, and beautiful
the depth of thought is absolutely a dream that takes the reader to
another place and time. and spans the distance from thought to happiness.
