Wonderful News

An account of a love story - with flavors inspired by Dr. Seuss in three acts

I.

Quickly, everyone!
I have wonderful news!
I feel wonderful - I met someone
and she's wonderful, too!

She-sings-and-she-loves-art
She's-great-with-guitar-strings
She's-opened-up-my-heart
and-she's-the-most-beautiful-thing!

I don't know where she came from
And I don't know why she's here
All I know is she's great
And this will be a great year!

Why, I never get tired
When I'm talking about her
Just "hello" and I'm wired,
But that's no cause for concern!

I didn't know the sun was this bright
And I didn't know the sky was this blue
Why, I'm certain I wasn't blind,
But everything looks brand new!

We talk every now and then,
But I always want to hear more
I can't wait to see her again
And for what the year has in store!

II.

Hi, everyone
I've an announcement to make
She and I haven't talked in so long...
It's been at least thirty days...

I can't help but wonder,
"Was it something I said?"
My head jumps over and under
And I just can't sleep in my bed

Does anyone have an idea?
I don't know where she's gone
The stress is just stressing me
And I don't know how I'll go on

It takes so much energy
To not think of the worst
Was she eaten by a lion?
Was she seriously hurt?

My heart just froze
And my body always aches
The sun's turned cold
And the skies look gray...

Actually, she's here!
I guess everything is fine!
I'm alright when she's near,
But we never have enough time

III.

Quickly, everyone!
I have terrible news!
She must fly away - I feel terrible
And I don't know what to do!

She said she needs to move
To learn about art and life
I'm excited for her, too,
But want her to be my wife

"God, if I'm good,
Would you please let her stay?
I've never felt such joy.
Please don't take it away."

"Fate, could you please
tie our cosmic knot?
I'll sacrifice a life of ease
As without her, I'll be distraught"

I guess it's no use
To wish to the wind
She was so much to lose
It just feels like the end

Or maybe it's a start
to something great or something new
Dear friend, I just wish
You knew how much I loved you

I got a lot more liberal with the formatting in this one, but please let me know if it muddles the message.

Good writing. The third section reminded me of a bible verse I read today. "We cried on the way to plant our seeds, but we will celebrate and shout as we bring in the crops." I hope fate gives you a fourth section in due time!

some areas was a bit difficult to read, like "I don't know where she came form." the first section is my favorite.
