Self Pity

Self Pity

A Poem by Liz Alexander

A life is made of blending in
sometimes no choice
Just a matters of no one caring

Just about to stand out
And I move back in the crowd
Scared of the stares

My voice is caught
No ears pricked up listening
Why bother?

Who Am I?
The girl in sweatpants
No one cares

Should I even try
Break out of this shel
Silent as a mouse

If they can't hear you. Talk louder. Sometime we can raise can with our pen and paper. Few people want to stand in the front. I have been happy to be a observer. Sometimes it is good to watch and gather information. Save yourself for something you believe in. A powerful poem. You open the door for a long conversation. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
