Sarcastic Spirit

Sarcastic Spirit

A Poem by Liz Alexander
"

A poem about the way in which some speak

"
There I go again
Ticked someone off
A cruel society we live in
Everyone looks
For a deeper meaning
Behind the words
We say something
Meaner
No one cares for the nicer meaning
If there could be one

A break away
I can be free
Of this nonsense
There could be heart
In every sarcastic comment
 Having a heart
Yet a sarcastic mouth
A fringe hurt can play
Off the tongue with a flick
For someone new
It could hurt
Without a sarcastic spirit

I can't help but talk like this sometimes. Nice poem.

I speak this way usually...stems from inferiority and a negative view of things. It hurts others and hurts me when I'm the butt too.

A sarcastic spirit is needed sometime. Can't make all people content. I like the flow of thoughts and the good ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
