Great as you

Great as you

A Poem by Liz Alexander

Years go by

After our goodbye

I see you again

This time you have

Wife and kids

‘Wow is that really him!’

Thoughts running through my head

I stay in the shadows

Watching from the distance

Hoping you don’t see me

As the years went by

I went from guy to guy

Now seeing you pick

Up your little girl

Tears well up in my eyes

I can see how well you got off

Without me

Your wife is skinny and blonde

The opposite of me

Glad you settled down

I guess we switched places

Now it time for me

To move on to the next guy

He won’t be as

Great as you

I like this piece a lot.
I think that maybe you should add an 'A' somewhere before "Wife and kids"
Great job! =)

i can totally relate to this poem. But you have to move on with your life and not look back at what might have been.
All you will do is end up hurting yourself. Believe me i know. Very good write.
