Dream Ghost

Dream Ghost

A Poem by Liz Alexander

I had another dream again

In this one

You asked me out

I had to say no

Since I had plans

I want to go with you

But  since that day

You never talk to me

About a week later

I get you to talk to me

I tell you

That I wanted to go

But I had a date

To hang out with a friend

You ask me a question

Who was it?

Timothy, he never around anymore

Ok I get it. You say turning away

Wait, I want to go out with you

Why would you?

I like you,  duh.

Come on. Lets go.

Where are we going

To eat. I’ll drive

My mom wont let me ride with you. I have my car. I’ll meet you there.

No, I don’t want you to know where we are going. It’s a surprise.

How bout I fall you in my car.

Fine

Good, I have to tell my mom I am leaving.

Go, come back though.

I ran back to my mom

Hey my mom I am leaving now

My mom looks up

Ok, where are you going?

I don’t know yet

Ok get home on time

Thanks I grab my stuff

And walked to my car

You are leaning on my car

The door opens by your hand

I step in turn to look at you

Don’t speed, please

Fine but you owe me

I am going out with you aren’t I

Haha very funny

You get it in

And drive off

I go following you

After 10 minutes

We pull up to a movie theater

Hey, I cant see a movie tonight

We aren’t

You grab my hand

Pull me with you

An arm wraps around my shoulder

We walk in to the back side

And there is a couch

For two with a movie screen in front

Please say we aren’t going to get trouble

No, a little trust please. I know the manger. He said this was ok.

What is this?

An old theater

We can have popcorn, drinks, candy anything???

Yep

Yay, this is great

What do you want?

Popcorn, butter and the cheese salt layered please.

Your wish is my command

I sit in the couch

When he gets back

Hands me the popcorn

And wraps his arm around my waist

Pulling me in closer

Than two lovebirds knecking

What a perfect date

I wake up

It is all just a dream

Why is it you

Who haunts my dreams?

As I lay in bed at night

You’re my dream ghost

This is a nice poem, and it's really emotional. It seems like everything is really happy, but then she wakes up. That would feel really bad. I've had similar dreams. By the way, though, one of the lines he says "Haha very funny", but you forgot to colour it
Nice :)
