Celia

Celia

A Poem by L.

The spectrum spins

In kaleidoscope eyes

Bright spots in the dark

Flashes of Titanesque tints

Iridescent, glittering irises

Amber sparks, stark banished

To the corners of my eyes

Hiding in the cracks in the ceiling,

Creeping behind peeling wallpaper

Sitting at the ends of discarded shoes.

The spheres of gold

Illuminated by the clouds in your eyes.

I have seen nothing but the brilliance of colour

The light and shade of every shaking secret

You and I, in the arms of black and white
