Blue Back and Chest

Blue Back and Chest

A Poem by icaros13

Some people say
Were I an animal
I'd be a Black Bear
Blue back and chest
Lumbering around
In search of roots and berries
An easygoing soul
Who enjoys his rest

But if perchance
You were to poke him
Whilst he lies sleeping
 In his den
He will digest
Your intestines
With great relish
And a grin

About
For we have thought the larger thoughts And gone the shorter way. And we have danced to devil's tunes, Shivering home to pray; To serve one master in the night, Another in the day. ..I do love.. more..
