Wishing for Ignorance

Wishing for Ignorance

A Poem by icaros13

I long for the bliss of nescience
I wish to renounce my powers of deduction
To blind myself to the obvious
So I can close my eyes without visions

How do I know
Where missing items can be found?
How do I know
Why there is anger, an inability to let go?

I've been here before, that's how

In a world where no one leaves, the hardest thing is to "know" in advance, when others are blind and must wait for all to unfold. This write suggests a pre-knowledge
of events to happen, yet powerless to prevent, thus anger I would imagine.

. i hear these moving words very clearly ... no matter what happens, you will not lose yourself ... you will not become like others who are insensitive and cold ... the journey to the significance of that realization is painful ... i have been through that pain ... it is excruciating ...
