To: My Ex-Lover

A Poem by Texas Identitycrisis

Worlds of circumstance
prancing, top shoulders
Feeling hurt, like no one
ever loved or knows
hurting hearts remember
forever, bitter thoughts
of nights of never
Broken promised
encounters, seems
lines and twisting, forced
The mind shifts without warning

Worst realization
Friends who play
such tough, heartless gaming
desertion, pretending stance
provocation lacking
Drug induced, repeat
regret less, slaughter
Opened up by mistake
Painful wounds, recover?
Question of superior whys and lingering
disbelief, a cause lacking indication
