the balcony

the balcony

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky
"

from ‘Co-existence’

"

each

peaceful hour

of gracious summer

night

i go out

into the balcony

of the forty-forth floor

for one more lucky

strike

a gaze on the

moon’s milky breast

a song of the

lonesome cricket

a smile of the

bright morning star

and the wail of

a newborn

IF WE ONLY LISTEN, THERE IS SO MUCH YET THAT IS UNWRITTEN .. EACH DAY BRINGS PEN TO PAPER .. AND A NEW POEM IS BEGUN .. THE POET WILL ALWAYS FIND WORDS ..
