Where there is Hope

Sometimes I feel empty and loss
Beaten down by life. Battered and Tossed
With questions running through my mind
Finding in them no reason, no benefits, no rhythm or rhyme
Wondering: Why me?
What did I do?
How do I get back up?
Left with no where to turn in my darkest despair
Facing my misery with no one to care
I hear that inner voice whisper a long ago Quote
"Where There Is Life, There Is Also Hope!"
And in that instant, that fraction of space and time
I take a deep breath and reach for
Victory divine
And feeling that quote cut through me like a knife
Like a bolt of lightning I finally realize
That because I have Hope,
I Still Have Control Of My Life!
