A Boy in Mans Clothing

A Boy in Mans Clothing

A Poem by Lena
"

How do one define a Man?

"

So you claim to be a man

For charity, justice and love you stand

But where is your Honor

Man was made in the image of God

What he represents is not a Fraud

Charity springs form the heart

To see someone in need you don’t just depart

Justice speaks of balance and fairness

Not only receiving but giving in earnest

Love is given with respect

Not with treachery that causes regret

You see, Honor comes from the Soul of a Man

That in their dealings with others, not even his enemies can reprimand

Do you clearly emulate all these traits you are owning,

Or are you really just a Boy hiding in Man’s clothing

You are afraid of the consequences of your own actions,

But still these actions you take

Don’t you know, a mans’ word is his bond

This is a trait of which man is fond

Knowing when in error he has gone

He’s man enough to admit that he is wrong

A supreme quality of Man,

is his ability to look beyond where he now stand

Yes you claim to be a man, of this point you are always claiming

But still all I can see is a Boy hiding inside man’s clothing
