A GREAT LOSS

What is the impact of death and it"s cost?

I wanted to create something lasting for you 

Something comforting, special, real and true 

Although I’m hurting and torn apart as well 

I’m also afraid for you, closing off, out of reach 

Climbing into yourself 

Your loss is so great that words can’t contain, 

can’t express and cant explain 

Saying “I understand“, “ I’m sorry“, or just the silent tears and strain, 

Don’t in the slightest way reduce any of your pain 

Please know however that your loss is shared and your agony is felt 

With heavy hearts, wrenched with tears on our knees we have also knelt 

So the greatest strength that I can lend to you 

The best of all comfort that is real and true 

Are the words of God, His purpose and His plan 

Even where we as mere men do not understand 

Just remember that Jehovah loved and loss one too 

But a greater gain was given... “Life everlasting” by Jesus true. 

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son 

Through his blood eternal life was won 

So believe in him though you have loss   

Know that your son will also have live everlasting because Jesus paid the cost
